When you come in the area by the D 656 road, it is the first thing you see. A large and high bastide (fortified town) perched on the "pech". You will access to it thanks to a little road, below the fortifications, winding in the hillside. As you enter the town you will discover the organized streets, the village square, the belfry and its lunar clock, then the staircase leading to the exit of the village, the water tower/bell tower, etc... From the foot of this place, you will get to the picturesque village of Bourlens (the former Agen's bishops' house) through the woods, the vineyards and orchards, via the Padès "pech". After a long slope on shaded paths lined with vines, you will get to the Dor valley. You will then walk on other shaded path to go up little by little on the Castang hillside...
