In Lot-et-Garonne, the tourtière pie is a real tradition... It was considered as a cheap dish, and might have been brought to the region during the barbarian invasions. It is quite similar to deserts called croustade or pastis gascon.
The belle truffle, with its strong perfume and its pleasant savour. It needs heat and grows in chalky grounds, at 1 to 15 cm deep, at the foot of "truffier" trees (oak-tree, hazel tree, lime trees, hornbeams...).
