The Fumel-Vallée du Lot Tourist Office invites you to discover the Fumel ferry (or strap elevator) site through a guided tour.
The objective of this initiative is to provide answers to the many questions raised by residents and visitors. This new development now provides a crossing over the Lot River, opposite the Fumel hydroelectric power plant. It thus opens up a route of nearly 130 km, allowing boating enthusiasts to enjoy the Lot River, from Aiguillon (47) to Albas, in the neighboring department of Lot.
This project was designed with an eco-responsible approach and constitutes the first phase of a larger project. It includes the development of an ecotourism activity related to the maintenance and wintering of the boats. In addition, the old towpath will be transformed into a greenway.
