The village of Lacapelle-Biron lived dark days during the 2nd SS Das Reich armoured division in 1944. To remember this recent part of our history, the Regional Deportation Monument was build on the village square. Saint-Avit's hamlet, nearby, is a remarkable architectural ensemble, deserves to be seen. The Roman church and the small graveyard are near Bernard Palissy's (rumored) home. You can see a rich collection of works of famous ceramicists from nowadays.
